Every apostolic mandate needs partners to ensure its success. The church at Philippi supported the Apostle Paul at a critical time in his life and mission. Their partnership and giving enabled the message and mandate to move forward even while Paul himself was in chains.

“So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.”
Philippians 1:7
Those who partnered with him held a special place in his heart, because they believed in the mandate entrusted to him and took it as their own. This is the nature of true partnership. As a partner you take up the mantle and mandate and share in the grace (supernatural supply that surpasses human limitations and empowers the recipient) connected to mandate.
